Electric Vehicle Route Optimization Under Time-of-Use Electricity Pricing

چکیده
This paper addresses an electric vehicle routing problem with time window (E-VRPTW) under time-of-use (TOU) pricing where retail prices vary hour-by-hour to reflect changes in wholesale prices. The proposed solution aims minimize the electricity-cost as well traditional objectives: number of used vehicles and total travel distance. In particular, cleverly shifts battery charging off-peak periods adjusts duration order reduce costs. First, is carefully carved a mixed integer linear programming model. Second, constraint model built. Third, combined constructed exploit strengths both models. computational study based on well-known benchmarking test instances demonstrates we can electricity cost by 3.1% average while not compromising other objectives. We provides CPLEX source codes, promote related-research, thus expediting adoption energy-efficient scheduling autonomous taxi company.

Electric Vehicle Route Recommender System
This paper presents a recommender system responsible for processing information that will help the driver in the daily use of his Electric Vehicle (EV), minimizing the problem of range anxiety through a personalized range prediction and by presenting in real time relevant information about the charging stations that can be reached within the range autonomy. Given the success of recommendation s...
متن کاملCommercial and Industrial Demand Response Under Mandatory Time-of-Use Electricity Pricing
This paper is the first to evaluate the impact of a large-scale field deployment of mandatory timeof-use (TOU) pricing on the energy use of commercial and industrial firms. The regulation imposes higher user prices during hours when electricity is generally more expensive to produce, and is by far the most common way for time-varying incentives to be transmitted to retail electricity customers....
متن کاملImproving Time-of-Use Electricity Pricing in Ontario
Time-of-Use (ToU) electricity pricing is an electricity pricing scheme where consumers are charged at a rate that is dependent on the time of electricity consumption. This pricing scheme is often implemented to match the cost of generating and supplying electricity, and to make consumers defer appliance usage; this would reduce the daily electricity consumption peak that can both reduce the cos...
متن کاملRethinking Real-Time Electricity Pricing
Most US consumers are charged a near-constant retail price for electricity, despite substantial hourly variation in the wholesale market price. This paper evaluates the rst program to expose residential consumers to hourly real-time pricing (RTP). I nd that enrolled households are statistically signi cantly price elastic and that consumers responded by conserving energy during peak hours, but...
متن کاملThe Effect of a Mandatory Time-of-Use Pricing Reform on Residential Electricity Use∗
Time-of-use (TOU) electricity pricing has attracted attention as a potential policy to reduce peak electricity demand and thus address the engineering and environmental challenges associated with electricity production. However, convincing evidence of its effectiveness is lacking in the literature. In this paper, we analyze short-run household responses to a large-scale field deployment of TOU ...
